#57 The Descent: Part 2 (2009)

Sequel to one of the best horror films in recent memory. The lone survivor is tasked with heading back into the unmapped cave system to find her friends to clear her name as a suspect in their murders. Doesn't quite live up to the original, but still manages to be claustrophobic and tense.

#56 How to Train Your Dragon

Fun movie and it was nice in 3D. Hiccup is a sad excuse for a viking in a village that is constantly fighting off dragons. He manages to trap a Night Fury, a dragon no one has ever seen or killed. He can't bring himself to kill it and ends up befriending it and learning how to ride it. It's funny and was amazing in RealD.

#55 Trick 'r Treat (2008)

Awesome Halloween movie that would have been great in theaters. Funny, scary and original. It follows four short intersecting stories relating to Halloween traditions. Really fresh horror movie.

#54 Saw VI (2009)

Jigsaw is dead, but people are still carrying out his wishes for some reason. I saw 1-3, missed 4 & 5, though there were enough flashbacks to get caught up with what was happening (kinda). Too much emphasis on current events (health insurance) and really no point to keep making Saws at this point.

#51 It's Complicated (2009)

After being divorced for 10 years, they come together for their son's graduation and end up having an affair. Alec Baldwin is a funny dude and belongs in a suit.

#50 The Lovely Bones (2009)

A young girl is killed and she watches her family and friends from the afterlife trying to make sense of her death and find her killer. The most interesting characters are Suzie, the young girl, and the serial killer. The mom and dad subplot doesn't really go anywhere and the ending is random as the killer gets his just deserts, but not in the way I was expecting.

#49 Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010)

Zeus' lightning bolt has been stolen and Poseidon's son is being setup as the thief. The gods will wage a war on earth if the bolt is not returned. Percy and other demigods (half human/god) go to the depths of hell and back to prevent the war.

#48 Alice In Wonderland (2010)

Tim Burton makes great looking films, but he tends to come up short on substance at times. This is one of those times. Whacky, but soulless. Reminds me of the lackluster Charlie and the Chocolate Factory remake.

#47 REC 2 (2009)

Begins minutes after one of the greatest horror films of the last decade. A swat team is sent into the apartment to get a blood sample to make an antidote for the outbreak. Things get out of hand quickly. The ending sets up REC 3 quite nicely.

#46 Pirate Radio (2009)

The BBC doesn't play enough rock'n'roll music, so radio pirates dock off the coast and play it 24/7. Just a funny movie with a great soundtrack.

#43 The Fourth Kind (2009)

Utterly fake and takes itself way too seriously. A PSA from Milla to open the film? Really? If you need a movie example of "trying to hard", this is it. Another film that left the most exciting parts of the story too vague to be interesting or scary.

And is whispering the only way Milla knows how to act? I swear in every film she whispers to express fear, love, anger, regret, happiness, and excitement.
